The Johnny Chop Story

In 1981, Paul from Johnny Chop rolled out his first Harley Davidson based custom chopper, (Paul got the nick-name Johnny Chop as a teenager on account of his habit of “chopping” all his trail bikes). That bike was sold to a friend and another one built. Same thing kept happening and so began a lifelong passion for building and riding custom choppers. In 2008, the first Johnny Chop retail store opened in Surfers Paradise with a selection of top end choppers and a range of cool urban streetwear on offer.

Johnny Chop apparel is made up of every day basics with a strong focus on quality, originality and wearability. This is the same approach we take to our choppers. We build our bikes to be streetable, every day riders, but always drawing an instant crowd wherever they roll into public view!
